Visit to Sweden!

On Friday we will be back in Sweden for the first time in 9 months!

Frida, Johanna and Lina have all three already gone back to Sweden a few days ago. It'll be nice to meet them on the other side of the globe!

Cravings have already set in for Swedish crayfish, westcoast shrimps, fish, herring and all of that other stuff we can't get our hands on in Australia.

Planning our packing has taken a lot of time the last couple of weeks, and we hope it'll all fit in our luggage...

Whale watching

Anne Coffey, Peter Smithard, and ourselves left Marriot hotel Brisbane, with bus Saturday morning for a day at sea watching for whales.

It turned out to be a spectacular day!
The whales took a close look at us and waved back when we waved at them. Whales live in "pods" of 3 to about6 whales. The pod does not necessarily consist of family member whales, but can be group of friends of whales.

We could barely believe how friendly they where and how much they appreciated our company. They would play by swimming under our boat back & forth, wave at us and race with the boat.

Some of the whales had a lot of old scratches from previous fights with rivals and Killer whales.

One of the whales decided to give us a shower. Whale showers do not smell as nice as they look...

Linas birthday

On Monday we celebrated Linas birthday with a few cocktails at Garuva, followed by a dinner at the Moroccan restaurant Mecka Bah.

Wet & Wild

Our Saturday began with meeting up with Lina, Frida & Johanna at the Gold Coast. The plan was to visit the national park, but inspired by the beautiful weather we instead took off to visit the adventure water park Wet & Wild. This proved to be a wise decision.
