Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo is a must when you visit Queensland. We met Terri Irwin who put up her first performance with the croc's since Stewe Irwin passed away.

Terri in action!

Australia Zoo is home to quite a number of animals and you can easily spend a whole day walking around Irwin's place.

Wombats are very cute animals.
Snakes are less cute...

Hamilton Island

On the 24th we flew to the fantastic Withsunday island, Hamilton Island.

Beautiful christmas celebrations on the beach with the family.

On Hamilton island the way to travel is by golf buggy.
Marie picked up the guys at the islands bottle shop, where they seem to have found what they where looking for...

A day of sailing with Banjo Pettersson - how exciting!
The archipelago looked very much like our own in Sweden.
We visited the best beach in the world - Whitehaven Beach.

The guys didn't seem to complain about the water either!

A day of golf tournament - Marie & Michael won the competition
Tommy is concentrating...

Robbie Williams

Tonight Robbie performed live in front of 55000 fans at "Suncorp" stadium in Brisbane. The concert was fantastic! Robbie is an true natural borne entertainer and performed many of his monster hits.
Please klick on the pictures for the large version.

After some fireworks and an introduction bringing thoughts to Stanley Kubrick and 2001, Robbie appeared at the center of his stage.

Robbie looked his best in the "Brisbane Lions" AFL team-shirt. The t-shirt was a tribute to the Lions & for Robbie being the first artist at Suncorp since it was built.

After finishing off with Angels and Kids. Robbie and his band quickly departed in white limousines waiting next to the stage.

St Lucia

The Scandinavian Singers concert in the Swedish Church of Brisbane was on the 12th of December. Patrik did a solo on O'Holy Night and we all had a great time singing the rest of the songs.
Here is the choir performing in the Church.

Warm up before the concert in good spirits!

Gingerbread House

Christmas is getting closer, and there is a lot to be done before the 24th of December.
Today we took on the task of completing our Ginger Bread house. Patrik did the icing and Kristin took charge of the Chocolate Smarties.

Patrik in icing action...

Our Gingerbread house is in covered in deep marshmallow snow. It is probably one of the few gingerbread houses with a sea view.

Heavy "icing sugar" snowfall in Brisbane city during December.

Glögg at Ikea

At the moment much seems to be involving preparations for Christmas celebrations/vacation.
When we where at IKEA today we overheard a few Aussies reading the label of the Glögg bottle.

"can be diluted with water, wine or vodka"

He quickly understood the Swedes passion for Glögg.

After reading this statement the Aussies stated out loud...
"I think we too should dilute more things with vodka..."
