Easter Holidays
On Good Friday we sang a few songs in Church and then drove up the Queensland’s coastline up to Hervey Bay. Hervey bay is a beautiful small coastal town, and it is from here that many people get on the ferry to Fraser Island.
An easter walk along the beach
Patrik took a bath on the Hervey Beach in a beautiful sunset.
We stayed at a nice and comfy Bed & Breakfast in Hervey Bay. And on saturday (Easter eve) we started the day with a walk on the Hervey Bay Pier, wich is 1 km long. We soon found out that the lokal weekend activity is to fish from the pier.

Kristin enjoying a morning walk along the 1km long pier.
Then on Sunday we went to a Sunday Easter Lunch at Ross’s (Patrik’s boss) beach house, Seaview, at Wellington Point. A very nice neighbourhood!
The driveway to the beachhouse.
The entrance
We where seriously impressed by the house, which Ross had been working on since he bought it 14 years ago. Most impressive was the Bruce the Moose hanging above the fireplace.

Ross friends Nathan, Dan & Joyce
After visiting Ross and his friends we drove up the coast again to meet up with our Swedish friends Frida & Johanna who spent the Easter vacation in a resort on the Sunshine coast, Collum.
We had a gorgeous BBQ dinner.
We meant to have a swim in the sea in the morning, but the winds where too tought. Creating a too heavy sea to swim in.
Lifeguards keeping the beach safe.
We stayed the night in Collum and drove down the Sunshine coast Hinterland back on Monday. Taking a few stops along the way back to Brisbane. Along the way we stopped at a plantation of pineapples and learnt that they grow on "sticks".
Here's Frida checking out the fruits.
