Lamington National Park

The Lamington National Park, 2h south of Brisbane is a World Heritage-listed park. We went to the Binna Burra section of the park. It has lush rainforests, ancient trees, spectacular views and extensive walking tracks.
We stayed at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge.

Here's Patrik in front of the Cabins on Binna Burra mountain top where we stayed.

Sparkling rosé in the sun.

New cork is difficult to get hold of in Australia. Jacobs Creek has resorted to using a combination of new & and recycled cork.

We took a walk along the Gwongooroolb track.

The rainforest is very very tall. Here's Patrik on the Gwongooroolb track.

The track finishes by the Gwongooroolb Pool.

The sunset from Binna Burra.

Jakaranda trees in full bloom.
It was a fantastic weekend!

Kristin had spent the day in Sydney working, and on the flight back, she met two complete strangers Craig and Tracy who where on their way to the concert with 2 tickets to many! Guess who got to suprise Pat!

In 15 minutes Kristin got changed and convinced Pat that they should celebrate their 1 year anniversary in Australia with a U2 concert.

After relaxing at the Versace hotel at the Spit on the Gold Coast Bono and his bandmates Dave "The Edge" Evans, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen started their Australia Vertigo tour Wednesday the 7th at the QSAC stadium in Brisbane.

The show was great!
